Jordan Killam at Reformed Pious Catalyst has seen fit to bestow upon me the Titus 2:1 award. Thanks Jordan! I created this “chain” award and it only took 8 days to come back 🙂
Anyone who will accept the award is requested to answer the following on their blog:
If you could have dinner with any historical theologian/preacher, who would it be and why?
A number come to mind: Van Til, Schilder, Kuyper, Machen, Spurgeon, Edwards, Whitefeild….but I would have dinner with Caspar Olevianus and Zacharius Ursinus. Together they wrote the Heidelberg Catechism.
What 1 burning question would you ask?
Since it is not a part of the original text of the “Lord’s Prayer” in scripture, why did you include the phrase, “Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever. Amen.” in Lord’s Day 45 of the catechism? (I am sure someone else can answer this – but I want it from the horses mouth.)
What would you eat?
We go to their “Kneipe Lieblings lokal” and eat a stew called the Pichelsteiner, made with three kinds of meat and potatoes. To wash it down we would have traditional German “Doppel Bock” beer.
What was the last Bible verse you read?
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
Now I must nominate at least one more blogger for the award – I already nominated 5 previously. Here are some more that I enjoy:
